The Asia Grains & Oils Conference: Results of 2023 took place in Almaty on December 5, gathering leading participants and experts to assess the performance of the grain and oilseed markets in Kazakhstan and Central Asia for the year.

The conference delved into discussions on challenges, issues, and prospects for the upcoming season (2023/24).

The conference saw participation from both business figures and representatives of state bodies and state-owned companies.

Notable speakers included Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Azat Sultanov, who provided insights into the Ministry’s efforts to support agricultural producers impacted by adverse weather conditions. Asilkhan Zhuvashev, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC Food Corporation, also addressed the audience, detailing the Food Corporation’s activities in supporting farmers and market regulation, particularly in navigating challenging weather conditions and implementing stabilizing measures.
